Ghanaian dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has made a generous donation of GH¢30,000 to the Buz Stop Boys, a local volunteer cleaning group in Alajo, Accra. This donation followed Shatta Wale's call to his fans during a live video stream a few days ago, urging them to support the group's efforts.

Within just 10 minutes, Shatta Wale's fans had raised more than GH¢30,000. The funds will aid the Buz Stop Boys in their mission to maintain clean public spaces in Ghana. Recently, the Buz Stop Boys have been at the forefront of community mobilisation and youth development initiatives through their sanitation efforts.

The group, consisting of 10 young male volunteers, has gained popularity on social media for their diligent cleanup exercises. They focus on desilting clogged drains and gutters in cities and towns to prevent flooding during the rainy season, earning significant public support.

In April, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, praised the Buz Stop Boys for their impactful work and donated GH¢10,000 to motivate them further. Additionally, hip-life artist Article Wan joined the Buz Stop Boys in April to clean various communities in Accra as part of his sanitation campaign.

Shatta Wale's donation will undoubtedly bolster the Buz Stop Boys' efforts and inspire more community participation in keeping Ghana clean.
